MELBOURNE – Wealthy tech CEO Vincent Steele appeared distraught on Friday after it was learned that there were no survivors of the OceanGate submarine disaster.
Mr. Steele had already put a deposit down to view the wreckage of the Titanic and was scheduled to take the journey in August.
‘So far this year I’ve gone to Coachella, spent a week in Antarctica, had VIP seats to a UFC match in Las Vegas and holidayed two weeks on a private island off the coast of Hawaii, all via my private jet. But I was really looking forward to exploring the Titanic wreckage’.
His workers, some of whom wished to stay anonymous, claimed they were denied leave longer than 3 days at a time. Some even had to pull all night shifts to rush new products out to market.
‘I’m on 60K a year and can only afford to go camping in Werribee South’, said Product Manager Ray Daniels. ‘When I asked for a raise to keep up with inflation hikes I was told there was no budget, but Mr. Steele just bought his third Tesla so I’m not really sure what’s going on’.
Mr. Steele’s personal assistant announced that he’ll be taking the following week off to mourn at the $4,000 a night Amangiri resort in Utah.
