WOLLONGONG – Carol Moore returned from a European holiday and dialled into her first meeting at 9:30am. As the most excitable member of the team she discussed the uncomfortable length of the flight, the 4-hour layover in Singapore and the food in England.
Just as the weekly WIP agenda was displayed on the screen her work BFF Hannah Chambers joined the call at 9:35am, apologising profusely for her tardiness. Upon noticing each other there was a high pitched squeal and Mrs. Chambers asked Mrs. Moore how her holiday was, only for the same stories to be regaled.
‘The tube in London is so efficient. We took the Piccadilly line to Green Park and walked to Buckingham Palace but didn’t see Prince William. We then took the train to Milton Keynes and walked around town. We also went to the Chelsea Flower Show and took a train to Blackpool. They call Hungry Jacks Burger King over there, but it tastes the same.’
Mrs. Moore also showed photos on her phone, held up to the laptop camera. ‘It was pretty good, but the flight back took forever. The plane was delayed by 30 minutes so we just had to sit there’.
Mrs. Moore then spoke about how she watched the new Spiderman movie on the airplane, which she didn’t like.
There was no mention of Italy, France and Spain which she also visited.
The meeting officially started at 9:50am.
