BRISBANE – Towards the end of the weekly marketing meeting Direct Marketing Lead Anne Thompson asked the team about whether anyone has a contact in the creative team to assist on a small task.
The question, which was by all reports largely unimportant, was answered by marketing coordinator Shannon Holloway who stated she has a friend in that team who’s a designer. Ms. Holloway said she’ll ask and will report back when she speaks to her friend next.

Four minutes after Ms. Holloway got back to her desk an email appeared with the subject line ‘Just a quick follow up’. Upon opening the message Ms. Holloway noted that her direct manager Julia Ford was CC’ed. Later that day Mrs. Ford asked what that was about and Ms. Holloway just rolled her eyes.
Experts describe Mrs. Thompson’s behaviour as baffling.
