MELBOURNE – Office punk and accounts receivable clerk Richie Becker got a notification from the mailroom that he had a package. Mr. Becker proudly brought the square cardboard item with a Do Not Bend label back to his desk and unwrapped the classic Minutemen ‘Double Nickels on the Dime’ vinyl record.
The record, which is a double album and sports a translucent ruby red colour, is not why Mr. Becker is excited. ‘This record came with a limited edition sticker that will go right here on the corner of my monitor. That way I can do my work and be reminded of a band I love’.
Mr. Becker’s other favourites include The Exploited, Fucked Up and a collection of tiny stickers peeled off apples.
