Sydney – On a regular Tuesday just after morning tea Admin Manager Beatrice Milford received an email from Chirs Murphy of IT Team, which she thought was strange as she was certain she knew everyone in the company as she had been there the longest.
The email read ‘Dear Baterice, I am Chirs Murphy of IT Team and I need your help. Your manger email me for help with his admin account. He is lock out, please give me admin login and password now’. The ever-helpful Mrs. Milford looked up her manager’s details in her pocket book and sent the details to Chirs.
Two days later an email went out to all staff stating they will have to conduct emergency testing on the recently upgraded cyber security system as a hacker was able to infiltrate the database, which according to reports cost over a million dollars to upgrade and was touted as 99.999% secure.
Mrs. Milford shook her head that people can be so callous.
