Brisbane – At 3:15 pm the office received an all staff email reminding people that Christmas is fast approaching and they should put their leave in the spreadsheet by end of week. This sentiment was reiterated on Microsoft Teams.
What made the email unusual is that at 4:27 pm there was a reply from Business Manager Jim Turner that simply read âđâ.
The message from Mr. Turner wasnât unusual to his own staff, who receives this reply daily in all communication channels. But it did seem out of place as all 234 email recipients received it.
Shortly afterward someone sent Mr. Turner a private message to please refrain from replying to all staff emails, to which he responded with đ.
