Mansplaining jerk pretty good as corporate trainer

SYDNEY – When staff found out that they had to attend the single-day training course Level Up Your Leadership and that the trainer would be former team member Derek Richardson they were unhappy.

Derek worked in the office for four years but due to internal conflict was transferred to another location and found a new skill as a corporate trainer.

Actually what I do is’, said Mr. Richardson, ‘is break down your roles and responsibilities and then explain your role back to you so that your core skills are refreshed and you know how to deal with difficult workplace situations’

Reports indicate that trainees were a bit nervous at first but once Mr. Richardson explained the outcome of the session and started discussing attendee’s requirements and how these skills are transferable in any corporate environment they soon started relaxing and found the course to be beneficial.

I heard bad things about him but once he told me how to do the job I’ve been doing for five years it started making sense’, said a former colleague of Mr. Richardson.

The feedback notes gave Mr. Richardson an average score of nine out of ten with glowing comments such as ‘Thanks to the trainer I can now do my job better and probably other peoples’ too
