MELBOURNE – Social Media Manager Patricia Stevenson has been at her desk for an hour and is still freezing. Ms. Stevenson, who hails from Sydney, isn’t used to cold temperatures and is visibly freezing as the office thermostat reading fell to 21°C.
The thermostat, which is centrally controlled cannot have its temperature adjusted, leading to a frustrated Ms. Stevenson asking what the point of having it is then.
‘It’s just so cold, I made a cup of tea and held it in both hands just to warm up. I’m going to email the office manager to see what they can do’.
It was later reported that the office manager provided her with a $15 fan heater from KMart, which Ms. Stevenson was grateful for.
