Brisbane – With the festive season celebrations in full swing new Marketing Coordinator Sarah Taylor and Junior Procurement Officer Haley Ferguson are excited about the first work Christmas party in their new roles.
The young pair, who quickly became fast friends as they’re the youngest in the office, are colloquially known as ‘the girls’, notably so by all the senior staff members, who happen to be men.
They noted how friendly the older men in the office are, where the women generally aren’t as forthcoming.
Just before the Christmas party there was the office Kris Kringle, where Ms Taylor and Ms Ferguson received numerous gifts in the form of bottles of champagne, envelopes stuffed with cash and $800 in JB Hi-Fi gift vouchers.
With the Christmas party imminent they hope their male colleague’s attitudes won’t change after a few drinks. We don’t either.
